第三版為增訂版，全書共有XXXII+723頁。
有個朋友訂了一本書，最終收到兩本，出版社也不打算收回，結果便把多餘的一本送了給我，非常高興。這套教材是德國神學學系博士學生準備綜合口試時參考的其中一本精研教材，香港人叫做「雞精書」。可幸的是，英譯本將會出版。遺憾的是，中譯本短期內恐怕不會面世。

A textbook for the study of theology and preparation for examinations, as well as for a systematic-theological reflection on the practice of this profession in church and school.
Dogmatics presents the essence of the Christian faith and it reflects on the Christian understanding of God and the world in regard to the truth of its contents and its significance. Major interests of such dogmatics are: clarity of concepts, contacts with biblical and church tradition, as well as conveying these with the experience and thought of the present-day world.
For the third edition, the volume has been completely revised and corrected. A new foreword has been added and the bibliography has been updated.
